The VacDaddy™, the upcoming new product from Advanced Pool Technologies, LLC (APT) has been awarded its US Patent, a major step towards reaching the goal of production by spring of 2019. An application to obtain a United States Utility Patent for The VacDaddy™ was submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) by our attorneys in 2016. Notice of Allowance for a United States Utility Patent for The VacDaddy™ was issued on September 14, 2018. Earlier in 2018 a Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) international application was filed enabling APT to seek protection in 152 contracting states.
The VacDaddy™ name and logo became trademarks of APT after a Notice of Allowance was issued by the USPTO on June 5, 2018. In May of 2018, APT filed international trademark application in accordance with the Madrid Protocol and to date, protection has been granted in the European Union, United Kingdom and China.
The VacDaddy™ innovator and owner of APT, Matthew D’Aguanno says “Our engineering team has been fine-tuning the final prototype to achieve our goal of 55 gallons of suction per minute. This is an amazing amount of power for a small, lightweight pool vacuum. Now that we have our patent, we are ready to present The VacDaddy™ to the market at the Atlantic City Pool & Spa show this January.”
