The Diffuser Assembly Cap comes with the VacDaddy unit but if yours is lost (while exchanging with your V2W Assembly Cap) or damaged, you can easily replace it with this new part. This is designed to ‘fan’ the water out in a wide flow to lessen water movement while operating at the tremendous gallons per minute which the VacDaddy is capable of. That water has to go somewhere and the Diffuser Cap spreads it out in such a pattern to minimize turbulence which can create surface rippling or moving debris on the bottom of the pool.
